Description
Aflatoxin M1 is a toxic metabolite produced by a toxigenic strain of Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus. Aflatoxin has a strong acute toxicity, and also has obvious chronic toxicity and strong carcinogenicity. Aflatoxins mainly contaminate grains, oils and their products. Among them, peanuts, cottonseed, corn and their products are the most polluted; followed by rice, wheat, barley, sorghum, sesame and tea. In view of the toxicity of these mycotoxins, EU countries have a residue limit of 5 ppb for aflatoxin M1.
Principle:This test card is suitable for rapid screening of aflatoxin M1 residues in samples. The test card contains a II antibody that has been previously immobilized to the antigen of the nitrocellulose membrane test zone (T) and a control region (C), and a gold-labeled antibody immobilized on the binding pad. After the sample is simply pretreated, the supernatant is taken into the sample well of the test card. If the sample is negative, a purple-red band appears in the T region; if the sample is positive, the purple region does not appear in the T region. A purple-red band appears in the C region regardless of the presence or absence of aflatoxin M1 in the sample.
