Description
Heavy metal mercury is extremely harmful to the human body, and the trace concentration can produce toxicity, which can be enriched by the organism into the human body through the food chain, causing chronic poisoning. The kit uses a mercury compound to react with a detection reagent to form a yellow-brown compound, and the mercury content in the cosmetic can be analyzed by comparison with a standard color chart.
Reagent use: Detection of mercury in food.
Specifications: 50T
Sensitivity:5ppm
Steps
1. Preparation of test solution: Take 10 ml of test tube, add 1 drop of test solution A, 2 drops of test solution B, mix well, dilute to 2 mL with water, and then add 3 drops of test solution C.
2. Preparation of sample solution
2.1Meat, aquatic products, grain: Weigh 2g of the shredded sample into the sample cup, add 20ml of distilled water or purified water, stir or shake for 10-15 minutes, let stand for 10 minutes, the supernatant is the sample liquid.
2.2 After washing vegetables and fruits, the stem or pulp is squeezed out of the juice to form a sample solution.
2.3Milk or juice can be tested directly.
2.4The sample must be clarified and the colored sample can be decolorized with activated carbon.
3. Take 0.5 ml of the sample solution in the test tube, and add 2 drops of the test solution prepared above.
4. After one minute, the color development was observed, and the sample did not change color to be a negative reaction. If the sample liquid is yellow-brown, it is necessary to compare the color chart, and the closest color is the mercury content.
Precautions:
1. If the detection result is not obvious, the detection sensitivity can be increased by appropriately reducing the dilution volume after the addition of the detection liquids A and B and the dilution.
2.This method is used for rapid on-site measurement. For samples whose measurement results do not meet the national standard values or labeling values, the sample should be repeated three times. For samples with similar results and standards, the samples should be treated with caution. It is recommended to send samples to the laboratory or a statutory testing agency for accurate quantification.
3.The test tube can be reused after being rinsed and dried.
